Working during your studies
International students may work up to 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during holidays, generally without a separate work permit as a student. Major cities — Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław and Gdańsk — have more English-speaking roles.
After you graduate
- You typically have around 3 months after finishing to apply to stay and look for work.
- A temporary residence permit can be granted for up to 3 years, giving time to establish a career.
- Non-EU graduates usually need a work permit plus residence permit for longer-term employment.
Immigration rules change and depend on your circumstances — always confirm current requirements with the Polish authorities or your Flyviz advisor before making decisions.
